  • Chibi Apple II and Apple Lisa

This is a remastered version of one of C-chan's original preconcept chibi sets, debuting Apple ][-tan and Apple Lisa-tan. Aside from the inclusion of the random abstract background and modernization of their hair and eyes, Apple ][-tan's designed has been dramatically overhauled to enhance her face and accentuate her youthful appearance. Her Suge-Kasa has been removed from her fruit picker and placed back on her head as C-chan's original napkin sketch intended it to be. In addition, the fruit picker now holds a "floppy" apple to better illustrate its function.

While the oldest-living member of the Apple family and the first consumer-grade OS-tan ever, ][-tan's appearance is still immortalized as that of a little girl dressed in traditional Japanese farm clothes. Almost single-handedly responsible for the building of her company's fortune during the 1980's, she is extremely hard-working, rugged and pragmatic, but can also be characterized as kindly, mature and witty. Having never been able to spend much time at home during her younger years, she grew distant from her Macintosh sisters, but also managed to keep her honorable work and social ethic preserved from the growing corporatization of her company. By the 1990's she retired, more to take care of her "discarded" sister Apple Lisa-tan rather than a willingness to stop working. She established her own plantation where the two, plus her loyal bodyguard GS/OS-tan, lived in isolation for years, until ][-tan donated that land to help establish the Binteji Renmei (=Vintage Federation). She is now an active member of that organization, contributing the daily produce, teaching natural farming practices, or recounting her unique blend of jokes and tall tales during gatherings.

Apple Lisa-tan is ][-tan's immediate younger sister, and significantly more mature-looking due to her superior hardware specs in that era. While a kind and friendly girl at first, a series of events, coupled by unintentional spoilage on behalf of the early Apple executives, turned her into a haughty aristocrat. She demanded to mingle ONLY with the most affluent users and despised menial tasks to the point of operating them much more slowly than necessary. She scorned Mac System 1.0-tan's birth and did everything possible to make her younger sister's life miserable so as to maintain her dominance. But as her Macintosh sisters gained fame, fortune and favor due to their less discriminating behavior, Lisa-tan's influence began to wane dramatically. And after a traumatic event in 1989, she sunk into a permanent state of depression where even to this date she never utters a single word.

Her older sister ][-tan took care of her during most of the 1990's, but with the advent of the Binteji Renmei she has been able to mingle with other similarly-traumatized OS-tans, who offer both understanding and passive healing.
